Custom Design Services

We help you, via visual examples and experience, choose the "image" that you want to project to your customers. Your image should convey YOUR story. Vibrant visual presentation of product or craftsmanship and marketing savvy is our expertise. We custom design successful business cards, post cards, door-hangers, and other successful print marketing materials.

Got your own designer?... your designer can upload (FTP) your files to us! Call us for details. Once you have placed an order with us we will email you the FTP instructions, ID, and password.

Design / template set-up is a ONE-TIME charge that is based upon the amount of time the designer needs to produce your custom product. Discounts apply when more than one product is ordered. Design is considered labor in most states, therefore there is no state tax on this service.

Design work, without a product order, is an hourly design fee. Click DESIGN SERVICE to make a commitment for our design services. It includes emailed proofs based upon your specifications, until such time that you either approve the design or choose to discontinue the service and charges will accrue for time actually spent on your design until you notify us of your choice.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN ONE TIME SET-UP AND DESIGN:

• One or two photos scanned in and sized for correct proportion / line screen for the card design.
• We can feather the edges (a soften effect) or screen back the image in the background so text is readable and/or add a clipping path around an image.
• A clipping path is where you take an image out of an existing photo and using only what you want.
• We can also leave the photo solid, so it is the background of the card, or it can be the “Center-Focus” of the card. Here’s an example: an automotive service center wants a photo of their building on the card, we can crop out the background of the picture leaving only the building photo on the card.
• One to three camera-ready logos, supplied by client to be scanned; or logos that we currently have on file. We have some logos. It is always a safe bet to provide the logos just in case we don’t have them on file.
• All text that is going to go in the job, including what fonts are preferred (if you have a preference). If you have a preference, we can probably match it, but if we cannot, we will match as close to what you want as we can. From the samples we show in other examples, you can pick a font we have used from the cards that we have already designed in our portfolio.
• A color proof, emailed to you, for you to print out for your records. Most customers are able to receive proofs via e-mail. If you need to, we can print out a hard copy to mail. We have to make sure that our designer knows what you want you to do. You review it to see if it’s ready to print.
• We talk to you, the client, and come up with the ideas. That’s one thing that separates us from everyone else. We are there to help piece ideas together, and our portfolio is a tool. We don’t play guessing games with what you want. We provide solutions to your problem.

IMPORTANT.... LIMIT YOUR REVISIONS!!

It is important to limit your revisions. We offer design services based upon a quick turn-around business model. Good graphic designers are expensive and we cannot continue to offer such great prices if we have our designers being "proof machines." If there are more than two to three revisions needed on any job, additional charges will apply to that order. If something is misspelled or typed incorrectly, revisions are included. This means simple corrections. It does not mean a complete redesign of the card. Simple changes such as name, address, phone, or type changes are free of charge.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN ONE-TIME SET-UP AND DESIGN:

• A custom photo taken of your product, service, or business location is an extra charge. All Photos, logos, and anything else tied in with any job needs to be included with anything sent in to us.
• If you would like more than 2 photos on a particular job, the cost to you is $20 per additional photo. It takes approximately 20-60 minutes to adjust a photo to how it’s used within a layout; the fee is to cover the cost of the designer’s time.
• More than 3 proofs. It is important to limit your revisions. If there are more than two or three revisions needed on any job, additional proof charges will apply to that order. Simple changes such as name, address, phone, or type changes are free of charge.
• Any photo or image that has a seam, torn edge, stains, ink, or color correction or an image/object needs to be superimposed with another image or within that photo, we will be happy to fix or make any alterations you may request. We will need to review what type of work that needs to be done on a photo or image and will quote additional charges if it applies.
• Logo design for your company is not included. If you need a new logo designed for your company, we would love to create one for you for an additional fee.
